Max is a sweet black Schnauzer that weighs 31 pounds. Lachlan has been adopted! To see his adoption photo, go to  Happy Endings in 2010.  Lachlan is a very sweet 3 year old male that was rescued from a kill shelter. Lachlan is very thin so his foster mom is trying to put some weight on him.  Lachlan has gone through treatment for heartworms since he was heartworm positive because his previous owner did not give him a monthly heartworm pill to prevent the heartworms. He must now stay crated and quiet for the next 6 weeks. He cannot run, jump, climb stairs, play or do anything except briefly go outside to go potty. Lachlan will be available for adoption after June 19th.  Bowzertoo is a 7 year old neutered male who doesn't like kids so he needs an adult home. She is a sweet girl and just wants someone to love her. Pogo is a 8 month old black and silver spayed female. Pogo would do best with another young dog for her to play with and be pals. Pogo needs someone with time to socialize her and teach her manners. Precious is a 5 year old female Schnoodle (Schnauzer and Poodle). She's a cute girl, a little shy when she first meets new people. Pixie is a 5 year old spayed female that came from a puppy mill and was being used for breeding. She is very sweet but still scared. Cinders is a sweet 1 year old Schnauzer/Wheaton terrier. Cinders has a lot of energy and would do best with another young dog to play with or some kids to play with. Skip is a 9 year old black and silver neutered male. Skip and Fritz would like to stay together. Skip just wants lots of love. Both walk well on a leash and are well behaved. Heidi is a 10 year old black spayed female who's owner was moving and could not take her along. She's a very sweet girl who just wants to be loved. June is a really active 1 year old spayed female. June needs training to learn some manners and she also needs another young, active dog to play with to help her burn off her energy. Stimpy is an older boy but don't tell him that! He is ready to go. He just wants someone to love him for the rest of his time he has left. His previous two owners did not want to be bothered with him in their lives. Samson is a 3 year old neutered male. He is a salt and pepper boy with cropped ears and a docked tail. His previous owner died. Samson is current on his vaccines, he has been heart worm tested and he is microchipped.  Shelia is a wannabe Schnauzer, well she wants to be with anyone who will love her and give her attention. She is part Bloodhound and part Beagle who was rescued from being put to sleep because she is missing one foot since birth but Shelia doesn't even notice that. She walks, runs, and jumps just like any 4 footed dog. Shelia is 5 years old, spayed and current on her vaccines.               Max is an 18 month old neutered male black Schnauzer. He's a very sweet boy. He's got a lot of energy to him and he just loves to run in the yard so a home with a fenced yard is preferred possibly with another young dog to play with him. Max is current on his vaccines. SAD NEWS:  Lady  went into heart failure and she died in her foster mom's arms on November 6, 2008.

Lady is a 9 year old spayed female who's owner lost her home and there was no place for Lady to go. She is a very sweet girl, she's good on the leash and she just wants someone to love her. SAD NEWS:  Lil Bit did not survive her heartworm treatment and she passed away suddenly with her foster mom holding her on December 27, 2007. She would still be alive if only she had received her monthly heartworm pill.  

Lil Bit was a tiny 2 year old female Schnauzer. She currently had heartworm so she went through the long and difficult treatment to rid her of the heartworms. Not all dogs survive the treatment. SAD NEWS:  Henry had blood tests just two months ago that were all normal and he seemed quite healthy and energetic so everyone was shocked (including the vet) when he got very sick very quickly and his blood tests had all changed dramatically. He developed severe anemia rather quickly probably from a tumor somewhere that started bleeding. He died with his foster mom holding him. Unfortunately Henry never got to have a real home but he was very much loved by everyone in this rescue. He had quite a personality and we will all miss him.

SAD NEWS:  Scooter got sick very suddenly and he passed away with his foster mom holding him. Scooter had a pending adoption until he got sick. Thank you, Bonnie, for opening up your heart to Scooter. Life is precious, go hug your Schnauzer.                     

Scooter is a sweet boy, just a little overweight at 35 pounds. His owner went into a nursing home.   Sad Note: Buddy's heart gave out on him and he crossed the Rainbow Bridge with his foster mom holding him in her arms. Buddy is a cute 10 year old male with a natural tail and natural ears, one that stands up.
